I am a Mum to 4 children, 3 of whom have autism spectrum conditions and fully understand what it is to be a parent of children with special needs.
I studied at Birmingham City University and graduated with a 1st class honours degree in Speech & Language Therapy.
I am passionate about speech and language therapy because I have seen the difference it can make to people’s lives many times. I absolutely love my job and it is a pleasure to be a part of someone’s journey. I feel I have something special to offer because I have a unique perspective of having been both a service provider and also a service user.
I have extensive experience of working with both children and adults across a number of clinical areas. I have worked with individual clients, in clinics, schools and with case managers.
I am a registered member of:
- The Health Care Professions Council – all practicing speech and language therapists in the UK must be registered with the HCPC – SL33321.
- The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists – RC0030963.
- The Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice – 3053.
I have an up to date DBS certificate.
I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s office (in line with The Data Protection Act 1988).
